Help rebuild
what the earthquake took.
One apartment. One family. Two things to rebuild: a home, and a lifeline.
A magnitude 7.4 earthquake tore across western Colombia. About 170 kilometers from the epicenter, Cali became one of the cities hit hardest. My aunt Elena was left without her apartment, and without home insurance to rebuild it. This is my promise to help her begin again, and to build another path for the next family trying to reach someone they love.

The morning western Colombia moved
It began beneath the mountains of Chocó.
At 7:34 on Monday morning, the Colombian Geological Service recorded a magnitude 7.4 earthquake with its epicenter in San José del Palmar, Chocó, 103 kilometers below the surface. It was the largest earthquake recorded in Colombia this century.
The strongest recorded in Colombia in the 21st century.
Population centers reported shaking to the SGC that first day.
Felt as far as western Panama, with official reports also reaching Venezuela and Ecuador.
About 170 km from the epicenter
Cali took the force
of a distant rupture.
The waves crossed mountains and reached Colombia’s third-largest city. Cali was later named among the cities hit hardest. Behind every damage category was a room, a routine, a family, and the question of where they would sleep next.

A home is never
only concrete.
It is the ordinary place where your life knows where to find you. The door you close at night. The room where family gathers. The address that means you made it home. The earthquake took that place from Elena. Then came the second shock: there was no insurance company waiting to help her put it back together.
Fasecolda confirms that more than 90% of homes in Colombia lack earthquake coverage. In Cali and Valle del Cauca, nearly nine in ten remain without it. Elena was one of them.
The commitment
Every payment moves in
two directions.
No vague percentage of profits. No hidden pool. The commitment is simple: 50% of each successfully settled membership price recorded for rebuilding, 50% to the system we are building for the moments normal systems fail.
Help Elena rebuild.
An earthquake destroyed her apartment. With no home insurance to carry the loss, your membership helps turn damage back into walls, a roof, and a place that feels safe again.
Help FindTribe reach farther.
Fund servers and field testing for direct LoRa pods today, then help build the repeater backbone designed to connect cities, states, and eventually the country.
The split excludes applicable taxes, refunds, and chargebacks. FindTribe pays payment-processing costs from its half.

A note from Felipe
There was the damage.
Then there was the silence.
When the earthquake hit, communications went down. For hours, I couldn’t reach the people I love. I couldn’t ask whether they were safe. I couldn’t know whether they had received my messages. The same morning exposed two fragile systems: a home with no financial safety net, and a family connection depending on one network.
The goal is not to bet everything on a better network. It is to give every message another way through.READ THE FULL STORY →
